Data Center Specifications
Building
Amnet Colo is located in a private gated 10,000 square foot single story building within a secure fenced in area. There are no other tenants in this facility keeping access and overall security within full control of our SLA. After hours access is only available to authorized individuals via automatic gate security reader authentication.
A common work area is provided outside of the colocation room.
This area provides our clients free use of a desk phone and WiFi internet

Colocation area is located in a secure raised floor data center environment with underfloor cooling and overhead cable trays. We offer cabinets, cages and custom high security private suite configurations.

Power

Electrical Service
Oversized electrical service guarantees future growth will never disrupt our clients.
- Underground feed with transformer inside gated area of facility
- All state-of the-art Square D switchgear, transformers and distribution panels
- Conduits installed under road are encased in concrete with a steel plate on top to eliminate the possibility of road construction interfering with any services to our building.
Ground Buss System
A professionally engineered ground buss system is in place.
- Master Ground Plate terminates all ground wires back to a common point
- Ground buss distribution cable runs from the ground plate to each cabinet via the overhead cable tray.
- There is an "H-Tap" connection from the overhead ground distribution cable which delivers a ground to each cabinet. This insures proper cabinet frame to ground potential.
Generator
Backup power for all environmental control units, AC and DC to the colocation area is provided by high capacity availability diesel generator.
- Oversized diesel fuel storage tank provides 48 – 72 hours of run time
- Priority refueling contracts in place to guarantee refueling within 4-24hrs
- Separately derived service and neutral conductor thus providing clean A/C power to all outlets.
DC Power
All -48 Volt DC power provided by a state-of-the-art Liebert Helios DC power plant
- A/B feeds available
- 2 hour battery runtime (generator takes only 12 seconds to take over in a commercial power failure)
- Generator backs up all DC power
Environmental
- Temperature and humidity control provided by Liebert System 3 ECU
- Temperature maintained at constant 71 degrees (+/-2 degrees)
- Humidity maintained at constant 45% (+/-5%)
Environmental / HVAC
All environmental control provided by Liebert System 3 Environmental Control Units. These units are specifically designed for mission critical data center applications and have been engineered to provide exact cooling/heat removal of cold and hot aisles to eliminate any hot spots and support todays state-of-the-art high density cabinets.
- All ECU's are fully backed up by diesel generator
- N+1 redundancy
Fire
- Detection in ceiling and below raised floors
- Suppression via FM200 non-toxic gas eliminating the presence of any water in the Data center
Fire Suppression Systems
The colocation area, "Meet Me" room and electrical service room are all protected by a Kiddie FM200 non-toxic gas suppression system. This system will extinguish a fire without the use of water.
- Eliminates unnecessary damage to equipment caused by water based fire suppression systems
- Detectors are placed both in the ceiling and below the raised floor
Security
- Access to facility granted via both card and hand geometry authentication
- “Man Trap” at entry point
- Security - Perimeter and colocation area under 24x7 recorded surveillance
Access to colocation area requires clearing 4 points of authentication including a “man trap”.
- Access card verification at automatic gate entry to parking lot
- Access card verification at door to front lobby
- Access card & hand geometry scan at Man trap that leads to Colo hallway
- Access card & to enter into the Colo Data Center
- 24/7 access to authorized individuals
- Digitally recorded using military grade high frame rate digital encoding and recording
- Colo room perimeter and roof of building are constantly monitored
- Security policies are in place and are strictly enforced
- All access to facility is logged and stored in a database along with a digital picture of each authorized individual
Network Access
- Highly secured meet-me room designed to accommodate multiple carrier direct fiber and to ensure the
highest circuit reliability to your network - Zero-mile access to most major carriers
Monitoring
All of the above systems are constantly being monitored and logged at the Amnet Network Operations Center.
Carrier Access Providers
We have pre-installed conduits inside and outside the facility to assure rapid connection to any new carrier.
We encourage new carriers to "build-out" to our facilities so we can provide diverse network interconnectivity to our clients.
- Separate "Meet Me" room designed into building for secure interconnectivity to multiple carriers
- All carrier fiber is protected in conduit from the street to our "Meet Me" room
- Fiber service conduits installed under road are encased in concrete with a steel plate on top
- Anyone requiring access to the "Meet Me" room must be escorted by an authorized Amnet employee
